HP just announced its new family of mobile workstations, the ZBook G8 series designed with 3D designers, video, architects, engineers, and VR developers in mind. With these releases, HP continues to focus on what the workforce needs now, especially post-COVID-19. According to the company’s research, with 32% of office employees expected to work from home for the foreseeable future, and 33% of IT decision-makers reporting that support for remote work is their #1 challenge, businesses must be prepared to support the future of hybrid office and home office work. With this in mind, collaboration tools are at the forefront. To assist users and companies, HP’s ZCentral Remote Boost software, makes it easy for users to take advantage of remote access to workstation power. The real-time collaboration capability brings that desktop workstation power to projects so that users can access the full resources, compute power, and infrastructure of the office or production studio while working from anywhere, according to HP. ZCentral also keeps data locked and secure while still enabling a real-time local remote work experience. Plus, HP’s Connect Software helps IT manage access to remote workstations. “Professional creators and power users need a curated, personalized software and hardware experience that aligns to the different ways they work and collaborate,” said Jim Nottingham, general manager and global head, Advanced Compute and Solutions, HP Inc. “With the ZBook Studio being the most powerful workstation of its size, and the ZBook Fury offering full expandability in a portable design, HP is giving the professional community access to cutting-edge technology, unthrottled performance, and the versatility to make the next creative breakthrough a reality.”

Security. Another important feature of all G8 models, is the HP Security Suite designed to keep user data safe and secure. HP Security Suite includes the new HP Tamper Lock intrusion system that alerts IT departments if someone tries remove the cover of the PC. Users have different options to protect their data, from a physical alert to a full shut down and protection of all data. You can also utilize the Find Your Missing Laptop technology and pair your mobile workstation your cell phone.
Sustainability. HP continues to be at the forefront of making sustainability an integral part of their company culture. 100% of packaging is recyclable; up to 49% of product metals are made from recycled materials; and 42% of product plastics are from recycled materials, including incorporating ocean-bound plastic in parts such as speaker casings. In addition, 90% of the final assembly of the PCs and displays are completed with 100% renewable energy.
All units include ISV certification for AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, AVID ProTools, Adobe software, and more. Buyers can choose between NVIDIA and AMD architecture for the Studio and Fury models. NVIDIA’s senior director of Professional Visualization states that,
The new models all take advantage of HP’s new, in-house designed cooling system to keep the units slim and light-weight. In addition, they are tested to meet ISV certification with leading software providers, including Autodesk and Adobe. Plus, they go through military-grade testing, meeting MIL-STD 810H durability standards.
