I do design work in SolidWorks 2011 and photography in Adobe products.
I want to purchase a Mac Pro to replace a PC system and am interested in buying a card that will go into a Mac Pro to run SolidWorks under Bootcamp and Adobe products in the Apple environment.

Can you make any recommendations?

Thank you.

Dexter

Detect AutoCAD Type: 32-bit or 64-bit?

Posted by cadhardware

Sep 21, 2011 4:16:26 PM

Mathew Kirkland has put together a routine that will determine whether the version of AutoCAD installed on a particular machine is 32-bit or 64-bit. This is useful if you manage various machines in a mixed environment, because some third-party routines require different files to be loaded depending on the version.

Dear sirs,

playing around with the Cadalyst Systems Benchmark for some time now I would like to thank you for this tool. It's very valuable to check different hardware for AutoCAD software products.

There is only one thing I would like to suggest. The tool won't work with localized versions of AutoCAD because the commands in the lisp and script files miss the underscore prefixes necessary. I therefore modified the relevant files for localized versions of AutoCAD.
If you wish to add these internationalized commands to the Cadalyst Systems Benchmark feeld free to send me an Email. I would be pleased to send the relevant files to you.

Sincerely
Markus
