Dear CAD-Speed-Team,

I really hope you and you competene publishers can help me solving a big problem I have with my CAD Workstation.

At the moment I am running an Intel Xenon powered PC with an SSD for the operation system and the files I work on. And an Nvidia Quadro FX 3800 grafic card with 1GB VRam. The RAM is about 16GB big.

To my mind this onfiguration should run really big 3D-modells which I work on. But unfortunatly it does not.

When I first got such detailed Modells of vessels, compressors or engines which were designed in SolidWorks or Inventor I could run them in a normal mode. The last Models I got were so big I can not even open the files. Therefore the RAM was doubled to 16GB.
At least the performance did not change.

So I thought about changing the grafic-card but a new one would be really costly. Therefor I first searched the settings I had within AutoCAD 2012.
I found out that there are only 468MB auf VRam are used, although the grafic Card (Nvidia Quadro FX 3800) has 1GB VRam build in.

Do you know any option, setting, preferance or something else how to activate the full VRam in this case??
