We are thinking of purchasing four (4) Mac pros.
What specifications should my office be looking at to optimize these computers with our BIM Software being ArchiACD 15 (very likely to upgrade to version 16).

With all the talk about fast workstation builds for working with CAD files (Revit, Civil3D and AutoCAD) has there been any thoughts on windows base network servers?

Some of our group works with very large Revit files and Civil3d rendering and they have more than capable workstations but it sure seems like we could do better.

Any thoughts or server specs to suggest?

Cadspeed.Wordpress.com Team,

I thought you might like to know some of the reasons why you are not getting enough Social Media and Organic search engine traffic for Cadspeed.Wordpress.com

1.Your website Cadspeed.Wordpress.com is not ranking top in Google organic search for many competitive keyword phrases.

2. Your website profile is not available in most of the Social Media Websites.

3. Your site has 8 Google back links, this can be improved further.

There are many additional improvements that could be made to your website, and if you would like to learn about them, and are curious to know what our working together would involve, then I would be glad to provide you with a detailed analysis in the form of a WEBSITE AUDIT REPORT for FREE.

Our clients consistently tell us that their customers find them because they are at the top of the Google search rankings. Being at the top left of Google (#1- #3 organic positions) is the best thing you can do for your company's website traffic and online reputation.

Sounds interesting? Feel free to email us or alternatively you can provide me with your phone number and the best time to call you.

TurboCAD Pro v19 on 64-bit Operating System: A Case Study on Photorealistic 3D Rendering

Posted by cadhardware

May 17, 2012 10:21:40 PM

The release of IMSI TurboCAD Pro v19 this spring marked the first version of this CAD platform available in a 64-bit version. Previous versions of TurboCAD were only available as 32-bit, which limited the use of onboard memory for opening and manipulating large CAD files and for performing memory-intensive functions such as photorealistic rendering. No longer! Now TurboCAD users can experience the full capacity of the 64-bit versions of Microsoft’s Windows operating system.

Use of Point Clouds for Revit Modeling

Posted by cadhardware

Apr 30, 2012 6:52:01 PM

Here at CADspeed, we've touted the need for CAD hardware that will get the job done. We are equally intrigued by the growing use of building information modeling (BIM) in our industry, which requires even more hardware capacity and usage power than standard CAD programs. But could new technology expand the power of BIM to those of us with hardware budgets?

Hello,

I came across your blog a few weeks ago as I was contributing the research/writing/editing process for a website that I work for. The site aims to provide college students, techies, foodies, and anyone interested in keeping up-to-date on current events relating to Generation Y. The idea was originally to create an objective collection of resources for lifelong learners, but it has since grown into something much wider the resources come together at http://www.hackcollege.com/. Basically, the mission of the website is to provide engaging content about popular culture, technology, and education today.

The entirety of the web resource has been referred to by well-known websites such as Lifehacker, College Humor, and the University of Texas - Dallas.

I think a guest blog post that acutely attempts to dig into some of today's more pressing issues in higher education could be of some value to your readers. If you're interested, I would love to write something for you and perhaps start a friendly dialogue. What do you think?

Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.

All my best,

Jeanna Carter
