Hi:
I had a question on RAM needed for Revit. I posted the question on the article here:
http://cadspeed.wordpress.com/2011/04/08/calculating-how-much-ram-memory-you-need-for-autodesk-revit-2011/
but my comment is stil "awaiting moderation".
Am I too late to comment on that article?
Is there anyone that can answer the Revit 20x rule for me?
Thanks!
-Tony
Would you recommend @xi computers for AutoCad 2013 Infrastructure Premium? I've been looking at Dell and can never get the combo I want.
Hi,
I wanted to reach out and connect with you about a short video I helped create that examines how Apple Inc. has been able to innovate throughout it’s history.
After the site popped up in my quick research, I thought I’d reach out, hoping you’ll find some value in the video. Let me know if it’s something you’d be interested in seeing or possibly sharing with your readers!
Thanks for your time and consideration!
Thanks,
Emily S.
We are evaluating our current cad stations. we are using HP Mobile Workstations as part of our job involves quite a bit of travel. We are investigating a change to Desktop permanent stations with a large touch screen and then use a surface pro to do AutoCad only but will allow us to use Microsoft Office and Adobe softwares. What is your opinion on the use of Autocad and a touch screen? will Surface run these programs?
I need to buy a good workhorse type A3 CAD printer. My first option would be to go for HP and possibly the K7000. Is this the best value/performance option for a small architectural consultant's requirements?

I recently read an article by an Intel product manager on the need for “ECC” (error correction code) memory in CAD workstations. From the article: "Corrupted data can impact every aspect of your business, and worse yet you may not even realize your data has become corrupted. Error-correcting code (ECC) memory detects and corrects the more common kinds of internal data corruption."

Hi, my name is Oscar, I study CADD Technology, and I need to buy a laptop for school, I bought one last semester but I have some problems with Revit 2013, SolidWorks 2012 and Autocad 3D.
Let me sxplain what my problems are. Solidworks: when I make a long helix, the program is slow, also if I make an assembly with a lot of components and I try to make a motion study, it is slow too. Revit: When I use realistic view it is slow (I know this option needs a lot of power), Autocad 3D: when try to rotate the view of a 3D model, the program is slow, etc.
Could you please let me know what kind of grahics card should the laptop has, I was thinking to buy a gamming laptop (Alienware) because those Laptops have a lot of power,
Also I would like to know what other thing I have to considerer before buy a new laptop, like: memory, processor etc, I know a good laptop means more money, but at least I can be sure my machine will work good enough.
I really appreciate your help.
Merry Cristmass and regards

Data-sensitive environments are no longer limited to defense agencies, power generation firms and related contractors, but include any enterprise that places a high value on its intellectual property. These environments require specific security precautions to ensure the security and integrity of sensitive and confidential information.
